Round boardroom tables are usually designed to seat 6 – 12 people when the table top is continuous, or 10 – 40 people when the table is open (ie ‘polo’ shape). Large round tables can be configured with radial veneers, contrasting centre sections, and perimeter inlays. Solid profiled wood edges are also a regular selection.
Executive Round Boardroom tables
High quality large round boardroom tables are an impressive and collegiate style of meeting table. Round boardroom tables can be made in sizes to suit your room and are typically manufactured in sections, partly for access reasons such as doorways. Anything over 6′ in diameter will be made as a 2-piece top, with veneers matched across the sections. Round boardroom tables are often deceptive in appearance looking smaller than they really are. Centre feature inserts. perimeter inlays and solid wood edges all have the effect of breaking-up the surface and reducing the apparent size.
The use of a centre feature in a round boardroom table often in a burr or contrast veneer is common. This works very effectively when an inset cable access raceway is incorporated. Radial veneers add to the interest and impact of a round table.
Round Meeting Tables
Tops can be veneered in any commercially available, sustainable, wood. Our standard veneers are oak, ash, beech, cherry, maple and walnut in crown or straight grain.
Table Base Options and cable management.
Depending upon the table size a number of different bases can be specified. A Drum base is very effective at supporting a large top and combines excellent cable management. Most other bases can be configured for a round table. Drum bases give very high capacity cable management with space for power sockets, cables and even small hardware items. They can be made large enough to sit over a floor grommet or floorbox, and have a removable access cover to all cables to be routed to the table surface.
Feature Inserts
Round boardroom tables can be supplied with glass centre inserts. Glass inset tops can be back-lit, or can be manifested with a logo or graphic such as a map. Perimeter inlays work well on a round boardroom table as does contrasting solid edges. Radial veneer is ideal for executive round tables as the grain pattern can be very dramatic.
